Building with glass allows besides boundless openness also much brightness into the interior of buildings, thus creating nature closeness. But with the incoming solar light also solar energy gets into the building through the glazing and may result in unwanted heating. With the new GlasSolator it can now be approximately determined in seconds which quantities and how much of this heat input could be reduced when modern solar protection glass would be installed.
The GlasSolator calculates on basis of the planned glazing and the regional and seasonal solar intensities as result of sunshine hours the energy transmission and shows both the heat input in kWh and the possible cooling load savings in the respective local currency.
